Introduction
The "Patient Summary" feature in EasyMedStat is a dynamic tool designed to enhance the efficiency and customization of your clinical research data management. By providing quick access to key patient variables directly from the electronic Case Report Form (eCRF), this feature streamlines the process of reviewing and managing patient data.
What is the Patient Summary?
The Patient Summary appears at the top of a patient's record, displaying a customizable set of variables that are deemed most relevant by the user. This personalized approach allows clinical researchers, physicians, and other stakeholders to quickly access the information most pertinent to their work, without navigating through the entire patient record.
How to Customize Your Patient Summary
Customizing your Patient Summary is straightforward and user-friendly, ensuring that you can tailor the information to meet your specific needs. Here’s how:
- Navigate to a Patient Record: Open the EasyMedStat platform and go to the record of the patient you wish to customize the summary for.
- Add Variables: Next to the patient identifier, you will find the "+ Add variables here" option. Click on this to proceed.
- Select Your Variables: A list of available variables will be presented. Choose the ones you want to appear in the Patient Summary by clicking on them. These can include any data point you regularly need quick access to, such as vital signs, lab results, or medication lists.
- Save Your Settings: Once you have selected your preferred variables, your settings will be saved permanently. These customizations will then be applied across all patient records, ensuring a consistent and streamlined view.
Benefits of the Patient Summary
- Efficiency: Quickly access the most relevant patient information without sifting through extensive data, saving time and enhancing the focus on clinical decision-making.
- Customization: Tailor the summary to fit your specific needs, allowing for a more personalized and efficient review process.
- Consistency Across Patients: Once set up, your preferences are applied to all patient records, ensuring a uniform approach to data review.
- Enhanced Overview in "All Patients" Table: The first columns displayed in the "All Patients" table on the platform will reflect the variables you’ve selected for the Patient Summary, offering an at-a-glance overview that aligns with your priorities.
