Monitoring Automations

Modified on Mon, 30 Sep at 9:11 AM

The Monitoring Automation feature in EasyMedStat allows users to automate key monitoring tasks, such as sending email notifications when specific events occur during a clinical study. It enables real-time communication and enhances oversight for research teams, particularly in multi-site studies.

This feature is only available on certain plans. If you can not access this feature, please contact your sales representative.

Key Functionalities

Automated Triggers

Users can define automations that trigger actions based on key events, such as when a patient is included in a study or when certain conditions related to study data are met. The available triggers in the current version are:

  • Patient inclusion: Sends notifications when a new patient is added to a study.
  • Variable changes: Automations can be set up based on variable changes, such as the detection of an adverse event.

Customizable Email Notifications

When an automation is triggered, an email can be sent to predefined recipients. The email content can be customized to include:

  • Patient-related variables: Patient details, inclusion date, and a link to the patient form.
  • User-related variables: Details of the user who included the patient.
  • System-related variables: Date and time stamps, and other study metadata.

Site-Specific Conditions

Users can refine automations based on the Site where the patient was included. This allows flexibility in sending notifications only for certain study sites or universally across all sites.

Audit and Logging

All automations are logged in the system’s audit trail, capturing details such as who created or triggered the automation, ensuring compliance and traceability.
