Teams within EasyMedStat organizations allow for focused collaboration among groups of users working on specific projects or tasks. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create a new team within your organization, enabling effective management and delegation of tasks.
Prerequisites
Before creating a team, ensure that you have:
- Subscribed to an Organization plan in EasyMedStat.
- Administrative rights with "Manage teams" permission within your organization.
Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a New Team
Step 1: Access the Teams Menu
- Log in to your EasyMedStat account.
- Navigate to the left menu bar and click on the Teams menu. This option is only visible if you have the "Manage teams" permission.
Step 2: Initiate New Team Creation
At the top-right part of the team list page, locate and click on the "+ New team" button. This will open a form to enter details for the new team.
Step 3: Enter Team Details
- Enter a Team Name: Choose a name that clearly identifies the team’s purpose or the project they will be working on.
- Optionally, you can immediately assign team members if you know who will be part of the team. However, this can also be done later.
Step 4: Create the Team
- After entering the necessary information, click on the "Create" button to establish your new team.
- You will be automatically redirected to the team edition page where you can further customize the team settings, add members, and define roles.
Best Practices for Team Creation
- Clear Naming Conventions: Use clear and descriptive names for your teams to easily distinguish their functions and projects.
- Immediate Role Assignment: While you can add roles later, defining roles during the creation process can streamline team operations from the start.
- Regular Updates: As projects evolve, revisit your team configurations to add or remove members and update roles as necessary.
