Are Patient Responses Automatically Saved in the ePRO?

Modified on Thu, 16 Jan at 3:49 PM

Yes, patient responses are saved automatically as they progress through the questionnaire in the electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes (ePRO) system. Specifically:

  • Responses are saved incrementally: Each time the patient clicks the "Next" button, their answers up to that point are securely saved in the electronic Case Report Form (eCRF).
  • Restarting the questionnaire: If the patient reopens the questionnaire and begins again, the system will reset the responses. Any previously saved answers will be overwritten as the patient completes the new submission.

To minimize data loss or duplication, it is recommended to inform patients to complete the questionnaire in one session if possible. However, the automatic saving feature ensures partial responses are not lost in case of an interruption.
